Tenderfoot Homesteader

The dream of becoming a homesteader started when I was sitting on the couch watching TV. Cliche right? Not everyone was lucky enough to grow up on a farm, and you have to start somewhere!

More specifically, I was living in an apartment in Florida and in the heat of summer I was feeling homesick. I grew up in Alaska. I am so far outside of my element it’s not even funny.

So in lieu of finding an ice box I could go camp in, I was watching Alaska: The Last Frontier  on the Discovery Channel. Yeah, yeah, I know. It is a TV show and there is a certain amount of dramatization. But that IS Alaska. The beauty, the wildlife, the self-sufficient attitude and making things work with what you have. Even if you grew up in a city, that was the mindset.

Goals

Margret's Life Journey!

Last year I made a few resolutions well, I like to call them goals. I’ve accomplish a few of them and the others, it looks like it wasn’t meant to be. I accomplish lowing my sugar levels, declutter half of my home, and reading 50 books of different genres. Yesterday, I went to Barnes and Nobles and bought my journal for 2017.

Here are my goals:

declutter my home before renovations

get new appliances- it’s time to upgrade

read up to 60 books- I’m concentrating on new authors

make a few changes in my blog

Renew my wardrobe- I already started to take my summer clothes to the goodwill

a new hairstyle and coloring

redecorate my bedroom

Also, I’ve to renew my TV guide subscription it would expire in February.

When you decide to become an entrepreneur or business owner, your time is of the essence. When it comes to your business, you must have a good system for organizing your schedule. As an entrepreneur myself I realized from the beginning systems are a must. I use a number of systems to keep my business organized, they allow me to be as productive as possible each day.

  • Do you feel overcome with anxiety when you look at the number of tasks you have at any given time during the week?
  • Do you find yourself letting the day past you by without any real progress?
  • Are you constantly having to work late or on weekends?

Inspired

Life, Unscrambled

Finally, after a long bout of vision blockage, inspiration has come! A new path presents itself with clear directive. I received an online card reading today and it rung truth… The message was ” You’re not trying hard enough, go the distance this time”. And I will.

This new inspiration has my body bouncing with excitement and ready to burst with overflowing ideas. I am now sitting in my corner ready for my first round of creative explosion…

Here we go!
